A new browser eras in 2010 and 2017?

From Netscape to IE to Firefox to Chrome?

Based on what I read in the wikipedia we are facing yet again a new brouwser era. The Firefox era.

Between the 2 known era's there is just 7 years. Can we define them as the Browser era cycles?

1995 Netscape Peak
2002 Internet Explorer Peak
2010 Firefox?
2017 Chrome?

Just to convince my management to loosen up the glue they have on Microsoft technology...

heaven forbid, why would we want that sort of stagnation? Besides when the firefox era starts in earnest, there will be a plethora of competitors come out of the woodwork, and people will have a favourite browser the way everyone used to have a favourite search engine :)
