Analytics vs. Analog

Why do my host's built-in Analog differ so much from Analytics?

Why do my host's built-in Analog differ so much from Analytics?

My Analog stats for March show 429,844 "successful requests for pages" and over a million "successful requests" while Analytics shows 47,783 "pageviews"

How can Analog be so far off?

Analog is tracking the humans and all the robots: search engine spiders, scrapers, email harvesters, etc.. Analytics ignores all the robots because they don't use javascript.

It's not *too* unusual for robot traffic to outnumber human traffic, but you may want to look into blocking some of those robots as they may be causing a drain on your site.

How can I determine which robots are the trouble makers?
