Adult Site Referrers Appearing In My Stats

Hi,
For some time now when viewing my referrer stats I notice that a few of the referrers on the list are adult sites. This puzzles me because my site has nothing to do with adult topics and when I check the source code of the referrer page I cannot find any reference or link to my domain.

Can somebody shed some light please?

Probably Log Spamming, ie., a spider logging into your site with a referral URL designed to place a link in your log files to either 1) obtain a back-link if you logs are indexed, and/or 2) to obtain a click through from curious webmasters.

Nothing much you can do to stop it so just ignore.

I haven't spotted any of those for a while. I used to get quite a few at one time.

Probably it means you have any kind of stats open to the public. If your server uses Webalizer, you'll find it in Google searching for "Usage Statistics for yourdomain.com" (without quotes).
