I have my doubts about my host. The site is offline a lot of the time, but I can not prove that. I tried Google analitics, but it does not check for that.

Is there a online (free) service which can check if the site is still online at intervals and produce a simple report/charts, so I can show my host the site really has been offline?

If you google "track website downtime" you fill find a lot of tools mant of which have free trials, or are free.

I googled for an hour, but not using those search-words :-)#. Thank you. Most of the tracking tools are commercial and need to be installed. There is one online service I found with a 30 day trail, so I just signed up for that.

turns out they also have a totally free uptime-service!

no registration needed. You get the code to paste in you page, which displays a button with the uptime.
