Wrong page view number cross year in WebTrends

I created a report and want to use customer Calendar to
get the pageview number. If I select from 2008/12/08~2009/01/02, the
number is 6600, but when I select 2008/12/08!2009/01/12, the number is
6200, which is less than 01/02. It is so strange, could you tell me why?
and how to resolve it?

It doesn't deal with the end of the year properly - it won't do a custom range that crosses January 1. Get a number for the days in December that you want, and another number for the days in January, and add them together to get the December to January date range.
