G analytics issue : From to page shows the same page under navigation

Google analytics :)

The navigation summary on many of my pages shows that the highest number of users came to the same page from the same page, and went from there to the same page.

Why would the same page appear in both the 'from' and 'to' columns on the navigation summary of the same page?

i had the same question... i get the same thing too in my GA account... check this post and see if it helps. scroll down about 3 wheels and you should see it.

Its interesting but still confusing:

Because the page I am talking to has 45.19% previous and next page as same.

Possible reasons:

1. Page getting refreshed.
   
2. People clicking on the link that is going to the same page.
   
3. Going to a page/image that is not having a JS code and coming back to the page.
   
4. Going to external page and then coming back to the page.
   

In my case I need to see the refresh problem as the page is a little heavy and may be some people will try to refresh it again. Even I need to check for the links going to the same page.

But I doubt about images or external page visit and coming back as this pages doesn't have any such scope.

My issue is solved now. I think now I understand it better. There were two pages that were missing the Google analytics code.
