Google Analytics Broad Match Search Queries

Hi Everyone,

Our broad matches have been costing a bomb but the Search Query reports keep throwing up the usual "120 unique queries" etc for a lot of the broad match search terms.

I'm thinking of gathering a list of the terms that we have been found under, putting the ones I want in exact match and then turning broad off pretty much altogether. I fgound some rules for a set of filters online that work with analytics to give you all the broad terms at [seoptimise.com...]

Has anyone used these before? I've integrated them into analytics now but the only seem to be able to display part of one phrase before they run out of room in the keyword display area, and they only seem to display one serach term anyway. Any ides?

James - are you absolutely sure you set up everything as described? I would check your setup. It worked for me ... though it's really strange that Google Analytics makes it so difficult.

thanks cgrantski - I found the original post where that link was form and am in touch with the guy who wrote it - he's giving me a bit of advice..

Not strange to me - google makes loads more money thorugh Broad match than any other, they want us to keep broad match, anything that makes it easier to give up is going to be hard to find :-)
