i have 3 pages set up with G Website Optimizer.

obviously testing the stickiness and value of these three pages.

i have not made this page public or linked it anywhere within my site.

the page should only be accesible from an external .gov site that we are promoting this page from.

problem is that 55% of the navigation has "previoius pages" that are within my site.... how can that be?

what type of navigation pattern could be causing this...are they hitting the back button, and then going back to that page?

could that do it?

My best guess is that there is an overlap between the users on the .gov site that click on the link and users of the site itself. People would not have to click on a link on your site for Google to track that they had been on the site before. Google tracks the user with a cookie on your site. The user could be on dyas or weeks before on the site, then - in a completely different circuimstance (but on the same PC) they could come to the test page you put up.
