meaning of 206 partial content

I was looking at the web log of one of my sites and I saw a status code of 206 which means partial content.

I did add a page to the site and after a little time I removed it. Do you think this is in reference to that?

Was it a pdf file by any chance? Those are almost always delivered in pieces. The first piece of the file is a 200 and the rest are 206's.

Thanks for responding. It was not a PDF file.

It was an HTML file like the other pages. Can this also receive a status code of 206?
