Google Website Optimizer counting multiple conversion per user

Can I count adding to cart as a conversion without skewing data?

I have a site with relatively low conversions. I want to try counting adding a product to the cart as a conversion but am wondering if my results will be skewed by people adding multiple items to the cart? Will google count each item added as a conversion or does it only count 1 conversion per user? I am using Google Website Optimizer for the testing.

i believe it will be counted every time someone adds an item to the cart, as they will trigger the .js each time the action is performed.

maybe you should set up the goal and conversion when someone actually buys something, or when they hit the "im done shopping" button, or whatever you may have.

becuase if someone is shopping, adding multiple items, and then deleting them, and putting something else in, yes you will have skewed converions.
