Hi,

I have been using IBP to generate ranking reports for my clients in Australia. I have noticed that there are differences when I run the report from India and those run from Australia.

Any idea why this happens? Which of the two reports should be considered legitimate? Is there any way to get around this?

Thanks,

Kaustubh

They are both legitimate because they show what people in each country will see if they do those searches. These days, search engines are smart enough to know where the searchers are coming from and they serve them different content. Where I live in the US, I'll get different results just a hundred miles away.

Oh, and then there's the fact that Google now will use what you searched on earlier to change what you're seeing this time. Some people appreciate that, some people hate it.

The ability to know your ranks is a whole new game recently.
