Hi All,

Can anyone recomed some good tools that will allow me to track the placement of keyphrases in the search engines? I am looking for best practice.

There are many tools but none of the search engines want you doing this. Some programs will let you use your google api key but that dataset is not the same as what is live. If you run some of the popular programs without using the key you run the risk of not being able to use google on that ip any more. You can't hurt your sites ranking by using any of them. Larger seo firms write their own programs that randomly hit google on different data centers from different ip's and/or use proxies.

Cool. Thanks for this info. IP centres / Proxies sounds like a good idea. You mentioned there are lots of tools out there, could you / anyone recomend one, or perhaps the 3 most popular / best in class.
