In a discussion on tyring to explain why there is a difference in the numbers off our server is so much higher than a javascript counter such as Google.

I have a good idea why and have explained it our company CEO but we have a big meeting on this at 10 AM hour 1/2 from now.

I have explained session ID's can be generated in a number of ways from the same IP address or same user multiple times. Copied images can make a session ID as well from a website that has copied our image but hasn't changed the url. The google bot creates a session ID number if you visit a site and have it enabled to send back information to Google each visit send the Google bot to the site aftr a visit thus creating 2 session ID's for 1 visit.

Is this correct and am I missing anything in my examples.
