Troubleshooting Google Analytics goal setup with multiple URLs

Goal set up is double counting conversions

Hello,

I am running into some duplicate counting issues in Google Analytics. My setups are as follows:

G1: Goal URL: /send_email2.asp
Required step: /send_email.asp
G2: Goal URL: /send_email2.asp
Required step: /contact_us.html
G3: Goal URL: /send_email.asp
Required step: NONE

As you can see, G3 shares a URL with G1. Will my G1 conversions
overlap with my G3 conversions even though the goal URL for G1 differs from G3?

Additionally, the /contact_us page looks identical to the /send_email
page. The client reports no redirects/ajax/modrewrites- is there any
other way I could be seeing the same page with two different URLs in a way that is affecting my goal counts?

Thank you for your help.

Hi smulder,
I recommend you to use an (.htaccess) file and stop the headache forever.
And with this little file you can control every link on your site and even more.
thank you, good night.
