We have an adwords campaign running that sends traffic through to one of our websites.
This particular website doesn't do ecommerce - but rather leads (for each offer people need to submit their details and we'll get back to them).
I'm trying to set things up so that I can track the conversion rates of the leads from adwords (though also the normal conversion rate for leads from normal traffic).
I've read the best way to track leads is to set up "Goals" rather than use ecommerce tracking. So I've set up our thank you page (appears after an enquiry has been submitted) via the Analytics control panel.
However I'm not sure where to look for the info I'm after - in Analytics clicking on the Goals section doesn't seem to be that useful as I can't find anyway to select only traffic from adwords.
- while on adwords nothing is showing up in the conversion area.
There also a message on adwords the cross channel conversion tracking is no longer in use.
Any suggestions on how to achieve what I'm after?
Thanks
Google has extensive documentation [google.com] on this. We have been able to track our Adwords spend through Analytics across multiple domains. The info you need is all there.
