The question says it all.

How can we exclude our own IP address(es) from the reports that we get so that our traffic numbers ARE NOT INFLATED by accesses we ourselves make?

TIA,

What analytics program are you using? Most of them have pretty easy ways to do this, but knowing the specific program will help. Do you know what your own IP address range is, for starters?

If you google a term like "exclude company IP address" you will find some pointers to how to do it in various programs. Another good search with different results is "filtering out internal traffic." The search "filtering out internal traffic from your own organization" leads to a post on the Outsider that explains how to identify your whole range of IPs, not just your single computer's IP.

In Google Analytics, if you edit the web site profile, in the middle of the first page of editing is a section called "Filters Applied to Profile" with links to "learn more" and "add filter." If you click on "add filter" it should be self explanatory. But if not there is a FAQ question on the right of that screen called "How can I exclude my internal traffic from my reports?"

It might be a good idea to go into the edit area of Google Analytics and look through all the possible settings and choices in case you have other questions in the future.
