Quest.com has a freeware version of funnel analyzer that looks half decent.

I like WebLog... does a good job of keeping historical stats, and great overviews of browser usage and keywords/search strings.

As cfel2000 mentioned, you could have a look for webtrendslive - they do a freebie cut down ('Personal') version of their full (paid for) service - involves registereing then dropping some pre-supplied javascript onto each page that you want tracked (it places a WTL logo button on to your page too).

I've used it for a little while now and its quite handy - they did revamp it a little while back and some of the functionality on the freebie version disappeared, but its still not a bad starting point.

I will second john316,

I use Analog with Report Magic. Analog crunches gigabites logfiles like a peanuts. Both are available for free for most computers or platforms.

It's a counter service Craig (not a program).

I thought it was more than a counter...more like Hitbox..no?

My ISP has Analog 5.1. Not quite the newest, but ... The set it up and I log in to get it.
Unfortunately I don't seem to have many of the bells and whistles that Analog offers.
Should I get Analog myself and then ask for the raw log files from my ISP?

>>Should I get Analog myself and then ask for the raw log files from my ISP? <<

I've used Hitbox for years on sites that didn't mind free stats for running their (Hitbox's) banner or button somewhere on the pages that they want tracked.

>>>Livestats is not a bad analyser and its Free!

i have one host that provides livestats IMO i think it is lacking in a lot of areas - especially that it seems to truncate refering url strings - although it is easy to use.

where can you get a free version? i thought it was quite expensive.

Are there any freeware log analyzers for Windows provide "Paths Through Site" information and can read NCSA log files?

I downloaded analog and tried to set it up. I couldn't open the cfg file. What should I be using to open it?

Any text editor is fine, notepad, wordpad etc.

If you're on windows and trying to open the file by clicking on it, you probably just don't have a program associated with the .cfg extension - just open notepad or wordpad and browse to the file to open it.
