I have a blog with has about 55% bounce rate...

Most of my articles have nice pictures to attract readers and below every single article, there is also a gallery of pictures... Every single pictures can be clicked to open a pop-up-like window (using AJAX sack & DHTML).

I know my readers like it a lot because they can see many pictures without leaving the main page and doing unecessary navigation.

Pros - Time spent on every single page is relatively high Cons - Many of my readers are leaving from the same page they came in... Increasing boucing rates and reducing the number of page viewed per visit.

My question is "Is bouncing rate an important factor or part of Google algo for PR and ranking ?"

Thank you

Thanks for the link Receptional...

Allow me to conclude that bounce rate are thus only given for informative purpose and are presumably not taken into account by Google algo.

I can take it easy and relax, then !

Thanks for your answer.
