How to determine what an IP address is

Is this real traffic?

For several months now I've been getting a constant 6-700 pageviews per day from the same IP address <removed>. I'm not sure whether to block this or not. What should I look at when trying to determine whether such a high number of pageviews is real human traffic?

Pattern of the traffic I'm getting: 2-3 pages viewed every 5-10 minutes, 24/7. Lower number of hits on weekends. They seem to like using a form I have of the type "traveling from" "traveling to" (just an example). The form is database driven.

Thanks for any input.

Well, one way to check is to see what user-agent string is reflected by the user -- if it doesn't show normal browser types with these requests, you're more likely dealing with a bot of some kind.

However, I suspect that perhaps these requests are coming from real human users. <That IP address> may provide mobile services that encourage their users to come to your site.
