Site hit periodically by some IPs

How to block them?

Hi

I noticed from my logs that my site is hit every 30 minutes by the following (rogue) IPs. They only access my INDEX page.

209.58.248.30
83.136.67.2
203.91.132.114
217.175.234.182
63.218.5.82
146.82.49.185
204.249.195.245
..etc

What can I do to prevent these guys from hitting for no reason? Can I put "deny from" into my HTACCESS, would that help? I don't want these guys to add to my traffic or bandwidth or logs.
