Whats a good traffic analyzer program?

Looking for suggestions on quality traffic program

We are currently in the process of developing multiple satelite sites for an existing client. We need to be able to track all incoming links to the landing site as well as traffic to the satelite sites. In the reports we need PPC, Organic, News feeds, Blogs, ect.. tracked. Is there a program we could use that will manipulate the data from all the satelite sites and the landing site that we could put into one simple report for our client? We need to be able to support atleast 100 profiles and we do not want to pay extra for traffic. All sugestions welcomed.

What I use is Iris metrics. It is cheap and very reliable.

I like Awstats (opensource)

Lets you clearly view refering sites with figures. Might be good enough to track your incoming visits from the satalite sites.

Ditto for AWStats, but I think your needs are a little beyond its capabilities.

Take a look at Urchin. It'd do 100 profiles for the base price and export reports in Excel, Word, XML etc.

If you use Urchin's filter functionality, you can use regex to map features from the referring URL onto the page details, so the rest of the reports treat the same page from different referrers as distinct entities. This could allow you to track sessions from referrer/keyphrase/campaign to milestone pages and a lot more.

The only potential problem with Urchin is that they've been bought out by Google, and the general feeling is that G is more interested in developing the hosting version of Urchin rather than the log analyzer.

I think that the best is WSTR Web Site Traffic Report, with tons of easy to read reports (even my customers can understand them :-)
and a daily email with the most important data, csv downloads, etc. Really excellent.

I'll give another vote for Awstats. I like it so much that I've stopped looking at other packages

[webmasterworld.com...] was written to try to stop this question from being asked over and over again in tracking and logging.

One of the reasons for preparing the post, was to avoid the continual drop of product names. I know it won't answer everyine's issues, but it should be enough to avoid the advertising of programs please.

By the way - my vote is for... Wait - no - I can't do that! :)

I apologize. I was not trying to make any publicity to this company for ehm financial reasons but only wanted to say what I think, that they are really good.

As I do with other companies or professionals (hosting, translators, etc.), my customers are invoiced directly and I pay my own subscriptions in full as the others.

I don't accept any referral money or other benefits from anybody's work, except a good service to my customers and this is more important than the few hundred dollars or Euro that wouldn't make me any richer or poorer.
