I got yesterday about 200 000 hits with UserAgent = 'Visicom Toolbar'.
And my access.log looks like this:

71.29.126.107 - - [23/Aug/2005:10:09:30 -0400] "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1" 200 318 "-" "Visicom Toolbar"
70.188.161.134 - - [23/Aug/2005:10:33:33 -0400] "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1" 200 318 "-" "Visicom Toolbar"
141.158.153.129 - - [23/Aug/2005:10:47:02 -0400] "GET /favicon.ico HTTP/1.1" 200 318 "-" "Visicom Toolbar"
Does anybody know what is this? Should I ban it?
Some analysis tools will automatically categorize requests for favicon.ico or any other ico file as collateral (and robots.txt as a spider), others you might need to do this manually so that it does not pollute your results.
If you volunteer what tool you are using for your web stats, usually someone from the forum will offer the path to a solution for that tool.
