Tracking search engines

Are there any ways to spoof the search engine activities on your website other than log files knowing the fact that search engine do not execute the JavaScript counter snippet in the web pages....why am i asking this question is many times we dont have the access to log file like popular blog networks.

Are you trying to pretend that you are the search engine bot, or are you trying to see what the search engine bots are doing on the site?

Any browser with scripts disabled will not run the java counter.
