Ad Position tracking

How do I track ad position using a query string

I've integrated a query string to pull values from my adwords, panama, and adcenter campaigns, but I'd like to add in a feature for ad position at the time of the click. Is this a feasible task or do I need to get the API's for this? And how would I go about creating in either situation.

I am also interested in doing this. Does anyone know if it is possible to track what position your ad was in when the user clicked on it? For example, will Adwords pass a variable or something else that would allow you to track this after the user clicks your ad?
