404 errors in awstats

What does 'undefined' tell me?

This may be a newbie question ... but hey, I'm a newbie!

In the awstats errors report, I always have several 'undefined' errors. The referrers are listed and I can see that this happens repeatedly on my site for a few pages in particular. I've scoured these pages for errors, but have found nothing. So my questions are:

1) Does this error tell me anything useful that I should be concerned about?

2) If so, how might I go about identifying and fixing the problem(s)?

hi, I have read somewhere that it tells you how many times a page was trying to found on your domain but wasn't. Also there might be something about someone trying to add your site to their favourites, and if you dont have a fav icon, it will list as a 404 error, but I could be wrong about that, maybe some else could help shed some light on it.
