Correct me if I'm wrong here, but Google purchased Urchin and used it as the basis for Google Analytics?
My question is whether Urchin, which costs $$$, is of any great value what with Google Analytics being free. Is Urchin more powerful/comprehensive?

Urchin has fewer features but has the huge advantage of being software, i.e. you can analyze historical data and re-analyze data after changing settings. If you google "Google Analytics compared to Urchin" or something similar you will find more detailed lists of differences, at Google Analytics partner sites.
