I'm running WebTrends 7.5b but I'm having an issue and I'm hoping someone here can help :-)
I've just done a clean install (I haven't used it for some time) and I've correctly made my data sources etc.
The problem is, I can't seem to associate a template with my profile. For example, I make a profile, I tell it to use my data source, it runs and does all the work but when I click on the View Reports button I get this error;
"Either there are no templates assigned to the requested profile, or this user does not have access to any available templates for the requested profile"
I'm pretty sure I've forgotten something as it's been about a year since I used it last. If I edit that profile and go to Reports and then the Report Templates tab it says there are none available!
If I go to Report Designer -> Options -> Report Templates I see that there is no template available for Web - pulling down the drop-down box also gives me no option to choose from.
I've either forgotten something important or I'm missing something (possibly my brain!)
Does anyone have a tip for me that would solve this issue?
Thanks!
If you can find templates from your old install, you can just copy them over. You can also build one from scratch in the Report Designer area.
Once created, you have to edit the profile and activate the template, but it sounds like you already know that.
It seems something is wierd with the templates.
If I go into Report Designer -> Templates -> New Template I get this message;
Information: Could not load WCT file 'C:\Program Files\WebTrends\storage\config\wtm_wtx\report_templates\custom\_wct'
This appears to be because \custom\_wct does not exist!
I created \custom\ and copied over the files from the wrsent folder and now I can see them and use them. I can also now create a custom Template.
So I guess the moral of the story is that for some reason the templates were butchered - specifically the \custom\_wct directory.
Anyway, if you run across the default template set for 7.5b I'd love to have them (so at least I _know_ it's correct) but otherwise, a big Thank You for helping me track down the issue and resolve it :-)
