One of the most commonly asked questions in this forum is "what stats package do you recommend?". Whilst Webmasterworld is NOT the place for people to make specific recommendations, there comes a point where the question gets asked so many times that it needs a stock answer.
If you use a package or two, this thread allows you (in a very unbiased way) add to this list. Please always using the following syntax for an unbiased comparison:
Package name?:
Target user Personal/small biz/med biz/big biz)?:
Price range for target user?:
Logfile based or Tagging based?:
Reads compressed logfiles?:
Sits on server / third party server / local your PC?:
Reporting formats? (HTML, Email, CSV, WORD...):
Tracks daily unique visitors as well as page views?:
Gives geographic data?:
Graphical or text based reporting?:
Tracks Spiders?:
Tracks conversion data for PPC campaigns?
Tracks conversion data for natural search?
Allows custom visitor type filters?
Allows revision of spider definitions filters?
Bid management module?
Unusual Extras?
If you don't know one or more of the answers - simply put Don't know. I'll try to edit entries when people send me corrections! On the edit front, I mat have to edit this thread a bit more than normal if people start to abuse it, but in 2005 everyone was very helpful.
