i have used many different stat apps over the years and am frustrated - it seems i simply cannot find one that will work for me...

i really need something that will allow me to define a range of dates, show refer string with link back to page... and allow different sites...

the most rubust app i see now is a remote hosted offered by statcounter.com - this is the perfect app for me - very versitle, easy to define date range - does everythign perfectely, and fast, - they have huge limitations - 500 page views - i would burn thru this in a few hours...

i have looked at the "...Quick Answers" link atop this page...

alot has changed since that was posted in 2005 and i am hoping there are more roubust apps avail.

thoughts?

anybody have a favorite?

no good for me list - chcounter, webtrends (too slow) awstats, webalizer and all of the feeble freebies 'throw away scripts" i look at avery 8 or 9 months...

many thanks

I like Google Analytics, as it is really simple to read as well allows my clients a quick report monthly they can easily read and I can control access allowing them to login and view more detailed reports then the PDF I have set to email once per month.

I also use ClickTracks as well.
