So far this month, AWStats is showing that Windows Live has accounted for 25.4% of our traffic while Google has 61.9% and Yahoo 7.8%.

In GA, Google is 73.1%, Yahoo is 9.1% and Windows Live 0.4%.

Does anybody have any idea why Live would be so different between the two? I understand the small differences in G&Y but the actual amount of visitors to my site from Live is about 10x's more looking at my stat program vs GA.

Also, this started in August, previous to that we had almost zero traffic from Live in both stats programs.

AWStats is more believable. Google analytic do not work if javascript is disabled in visitor's browser.

That is what I thought, thanks.

Stranger still, the string that is used in accessing our site from live.com is always this:

[search.live.com...]

Where "keyword" is actually the very generic description of our sector. The strings (and therefore keywords) are always identical but are accessing most of the pages on my site including the forums.

I was wondering if this is actually live.com or somebody masking their identity to spider our site anonymously.

Does any body know if there could be any harm in this?
