Hi,

My site has about 25.000 unique visitors/day and 4.7 pageviews/visitor.

Sites in the same branche as mine have 3 times as much pageviews/visitor.

How is that possible?
What should I do to increase the pageviews?

Thanks in advance.

You need to give more details, such as your search engine ranking, how large your web site, how old your site is, etc. There are a number of ways to increase your web site's traffic. Pay Per Click may be your best option if you don't have a very good ranking. If your ranking is bad you should SEO your web site. Below is some good threads that will help you get started:

I don't need more traffic, but more pageviews.
My site has about 60.000 pages, 25.000 unique visitors/day and 110.000 pageviews/day.

My goal is to double the pageviews/visitor (=220.000 pageviews/day).

How many pageviews per visit would equal a successful visit? Maybe your site is more efficient or puts more into a few pages than the others you're comparing to.

Maybe other sites have redirected landing pages that add one page to the count for each visit.

Or maybe your pages just aren't interesting or don't promise more great stuff on the next page. Is your site worth exploring? Does it confuse, bore, or turn off visitors?

Are your visitors well qualified, i.e. does your site really have what they are looking for? If you're bringing the wrong kind of people to the site, they will leave no matter how great the site is for the right kind of people.

This isn't a tracking and logging issue as much as it is a site design and content question.
