Can anyone shed some light on this. My clients site is a flash site and so has no individual pages and the same url throughout the site. I can understand why in top pages or filenames viewed shockwave files are displayed. However I can't understand how they appear in top entry pages. How can visitors enter the site through one of these shockwave files, unless maybe they bookmarked the site on a specific page and came back to it...but it seems unlikely that many people accessed the site through bookmarks!
I appreciate any comments!
Thank you
Katey
I've been thinking about your situation. It does seem a bit odd.
Is it possible that you or the client are accessing the swf file directly? That could account for some of them.
Also, are you checking your referrers? It sounds like you are. But are you seeing any referrers from other sites that point directly to that file?
My hunch is that they are being pulled directly from internal people.
It looks like Google can find .swf files.
Check #4 on this google search [google.com].
(check it out by the way, it's quite funny)
