Tracking constant IP address

Hi all,

First post on here after being a lurker for some time, I think this is in the correct place.

I run a widget site and have tracking on when an item is added into my cart. I've noticed that I have a LOT of items being put into a users cart, but no conversions or even users proceeding to the checkout on my site which I'm trying to get to the bottom of.

I have one IP address 66.249.66.17 that seems to add at least 20 times a week, I've found out that this seems to be a Google address? Will the search robots be adding to a cart or am I looking at something completely different?

That IP address is Googlebot, so it must be that there are plain html links to the add to cart function somewhere. You can always exclude search engines from these pages using robots exclusion (either a robots.txt file or a robots meta tag).
