I'm the newly appointed web designer who was put in charge of redesigning my company's old site, and I've decided to ditch its old Coldfusion core for a PHP-driven CMS, and switch hosting company altogether. The site is nearly done and ready for launch, but my boss would like to see stats from the old site displayed on the new one. Problem is the old site ran LiveStats and the new site runs Awstats or Webalizer.

How would one go about porting over the LiveStats data so stats from the past few years can be read via Awstats or Webalizer on the new hosting server?

And if yes, would the numbers be different? I read on this forum that Awstats show much less counts than LiveStats - if that's the case, I'll need to cook up a good explanation for my boss so he doesn't have a heart attack when he sees 50,000 visits per month instead of the usual 80,000....

Thanks!

Should be possible... LiveStats takes its data from log files as I recall... so presumably you just copy the olf log files onto the new server and bob's your uncle.

That's just the theory... I bet the logfile formats are different! :0
