Because I have my doubts.

Currently we switched from HitList to WebTrends. HitList can genetate country and region report with a 600kb database.

Now we have WebTrends, with a massive 450MB region/country/state/city up-to-date database. I ran a few reports, and in some cases they don't look anything like the HitList reports.

Problem is that the WebTrends country reports are totally illogical. Suddently we get a lot of traffic from Holland and Germany, while the number of US and UK visits had decreased dramatically, compared to the HitList reports.

I looked into this a little more and it seems the entire range of 193.93.* has the wrong country information. I checked at least 20 visits WebTrends said came from Holland, and ALL of them came from the US/UK/Ireland according to Ripe.net. Looking into the member database, all member visits were members from either the UK or Ireland when I looked into the memebrs database.

So far the Dutch support says it's a US server, but the visits are actually from Holland/Europe. I know they're wrong about Holland.

I have more sites that show information I believe to be false. Dutch sites suddently get massive traffic from Venezuela, according to WebTrends. HitList shows far more logical numbers. They're not hack-attempts, I filtered those out, and the total number of visits is about the same for WebTrends and Hitlist. Other reports like Popular Pages reports show the about same data.

Does anyone have the same problem?

I've never looked at the international accuracy of GeoTrends so can't confirm what you're seeing but it sounds like you've found some true problems. I hope you let the vendor know that GeoTrends has these issues. I've always heard that all of these geo-resolution databases come from the same sources but you've convinced me otherwise.
