hey guys. im a new user, not too savvy with the net yet, but we are launching a new online application.
the site (cant disclose name cause we haven't launched yet) is going to act as a hub, and have several business partners who would do our printing, delieveries, etc.

we would like to track users/hits, where they came from etc.

Also, more importantly, how many of our users click on our associated partner links.

to what extent can we track whether one of our site users goes and purchases

Is there a method of tracking if our users purchase from the site, etc.
do these applications have to be approved by both parties, etc.
any help, or web links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi Jobbie,
you may use Google Analytics to meet your requirements by setting up goals (that define the desired funnel of your transaction/actions.)

You may also tag links to see which links have been clicked most..

If you are looking for advanced solution, you may try WebTrends 8 which offers advanced tracking modules.

nextstat, how about putting a description of the product on the "which product should I use" item (first item in this forum).

Looks like a nicely done entry-to-mid-level program, but not what I would call premium. I may have missed how it is different from others, so a more complete description in this forum would really help.
