Google Analytics is not tracking goal conversions correctly!

GA goal conversion does not distinguish goal conversions from the same IP

Hi,

Probably this has been already discussed but I couldn't find any threads on it. I have problems with GA goal conversion tracking.
So I have admin system that tracks the applications(goals) on my site and I use GA as well. The problem is that GA goal I have set up shows approximately half the applications(goals) I receive in real. I went through my code and it seems my admin is working OK. I checked GA tracking code - it is present on my goal page. So what I found in the logs is that GA tracks all goal conversions from one IP as 1 goal conversion. For example I have 22 applications (goals accomplished) in a day in logs and only 8 showing in GA, as the different IP-s are only 8. Which should mean 8 people applied each of them for more than once. Why can't GA distinguish different goal conversions from the same IP?

Hi patrahil,

I'm facing the same problem. About 25% of my conversions are not being tracked by Analytics.
Did you find a solution for this problem?

It seems to be the way they decided to design it. I wouldn't have done it that way myself. I think I've heard of workarounds and hope somebody posts one. It makes it really hard to compare results with other programs that have more flexibility in how this is measured.
