This isn't really a problem, just more a curiosity than anything... I've noticed for about three months now that an inner page to one of my sites has beat out the core page in both entry number and over all ranking by about 200-300 impressions. It's actually the top ranked page on the site, but it's a pretty obscure page. My first assumption was that somebody had put up a link in a forum or something... But there are no external links listed that are anywhere near those numbers. Then I thought it might be getting circulated in emails. But I seriously doubt it would ever get circulated to the numbers that have been showing up. I did a search and didn't find it anywhere on the net. Anyone have any ideas on what would create such a scenario?

Thanks for any info,

Dave

Yes - depends on your stats package, but you should be able to see from the referrer details where most of that traffic is coming from - be it your site or third party.

That's the problem, I don't see any evidence in the logs of where the traffic is coming from. In referrals it just puts the page in question at the top of the list, under it's own address. And under external links, there are none listed from any site that come close to providing that many visitors. It's a mystery.
