according to this article from the google analytics help center [google.com] there is no such limit.

there is a limit of 50.

on their help guide, it says i should use a profile with a domain.

and whenever i reach my 50th domain, the link for "add a new profile" disappears.

I've also hit the apparent 50 site limit.

I was recently adding a slew of new domains all in one go when suddenly the 'add profile' link just wasn't there anymore.

What you have to do is create a new analytics account from within your current account. Look up at the top right in the orange bar where it says "My Analytics Accounts" and there's a drop-down list. In that drop down, choose "Create New Account."

The wording is kind of weird. It's not actually a separate account with a separate login or anything -- but you can add more sites in the second account, and you get to them by choosing the account from that dropdown.

You're welcome. I figured it out when I recently ran into that myself.

I find that implementation rather annoying. If I had known I was going to have to create more than one account, I would have done so from the beginning and grouped the sites in different accounts in a logical fashion. But there doesn't seem to be any way to move or transfer a site from one account to another, so I'm stuck with a mish-mash of sites in the first account, and the beginnings of some organization in a second and third account.
