hello

I'm very new to this hudge forum, so I hope I'm posting in the right place! Also, please excuse my poor english writing...

I'm using Awstats 6.5 on a fedora Core 4 server.
Since beginning of February, i see a lot of strange domains in my logs, like this:

http://www.example.com/#
[edit]lots of other TLD domains were listed here[/edit]

I'm getting in trouble with this, because now, I can hardly see the real visitors on my sites, as these domains are so numerous. So I was thinking of banning them, but there are so many!
And another question, when I look into my apache logs, I've got really strange things: a lot of these domains are trying to reach pages on my server that don't exist...
I'm using Joomla 1.0.12 on one of these sites, with a comment system that permits visitors to comment articles. I got to turn it off, because within minutes, I got hundred of spam type comments!

I was wondering if any of you is facing the same problem, and if one found a solution to it, even partially fixing this Spam.

Thanks a lot in advance

Your post itself is the best reward for these spammers.

Please, remove the links.

Choose your thread on the subject:

[google.com...]

But please don't put specific URLs up on Web Master World - you simply provide links for spammers!
