In my other thread which is now closed, I wrote
Hi, lets say i have 100 pages for my website.
1. Do I need to generate 100 different codes and use 1 for each site? Or can I generate 1 code and use it for all my 100 pages? What difference would it make?

2. Can Google Analytics do this?
- Show the traffic of the 100 pages individually?
- Add up all the traffic from the 100 pages and show it as a summary?

Thanks.

Then someone replied,

I would use Google Analytics for sure, fairly easy: copy/paste their tag on your pages (for example in the navigation template). Then, you can look at the "Top Content" report, which will give you loads of info on each individual page.

Here's the link. [webmasterworld.com...]

The reply above didn't answer my question whether I need to generate 1 code for 1 page, or I can use the same code over all the pages.

Google analytics give code on site basis , you will get one tracking code for one website .

You have to place that code on all the pages of your website so that G will track it
