Most trackers have an option when one can setup the time elapsed to be considered a new visitor. I've seen this in statcounter and addfreestats.

But I can't find where is this configured in Google Anaylitcs.

If this is not configurable, does anybody knows when Google count a user as a new visitor?

Interesting question. I have wondered this myself, and assumed they use 30 minutes. Seems to be the industry standard.
