Strange request with 3 slashes in URL

I have been looking at the log files of all the redirects that my CMS does and there are some strange things going on.

A request is made very often for any/all of the pages on my site with 3 forward slashes in the URL.

Example URL:
http://www.example.com///page-title

Correct URL that I redirect them to:
http://www.example.com/page-title

Common IP addresses:
195.225.177.14
195.225.177.12
85.255.119.133
195.225.177.3

User agent is ALWAYS:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1;SV1)

Referer is ALWAYS:
Blank (not null, just blank)

Has anyone seen this before, or know anything about it?
