In google analytics, Content optimization > Content performance > Top content data relates to U.Vs and pageviews.....the column "%Exit" shows the percentage of users having visited & subsequently exited the site.
Could anyone shed light on how google goes about calculating this %exit.....is this related to the avg time spent by the user in the site...

The exit page is basically the last page that visitor viewed. So the % is the number of people who clicked no further..
Also note that every visit must stop somewhere.. so your total exit will be 100%, the good type of exit is usually a purchase or a signup etc.
