I am trying to create a report in webtrends 7 using a custom measure. The measure is based on a smartsource data collector tag and the log file will contain the following entry:
WT.ra_title=Registration%20Confirmation%20Page
Now I tried to create a custom measure, counting the instances of this tag being present. Since the WT.ra_title field can have many different values, I specified a Fixed Pattern in the "What to Measure" tab of the custom measure using the following string "Registration Confirmation Page" (without double quotes). In the "When to measure" tab, I use "All Hits" and I don't sum the measure across the visit. I checked the log files and I find instances of this entry in the files, but when I run the report, I simply get zeros back for the hit count. So I started changing the measure definition, using RegEx instead of Fixed Pattern. I tried many different combinations of RegEx, from ,*Confirmation.* all the way to just .* along with .+Conf.+ and so on.
However, none of the attempts yielded any results. I also switched to "Use Full String" which did count the measure. Of course it also counted hits that contained different values in that parameter, and since I only want to count those pages where the value is equal to the text above, it did me no good to use the full string option. I also tried many variations on the "When to Measure" tab and I also tried to vary the Fixed Pattern with either "Registration%20Confirmation%20Page" or "Registration Confirmation Page" (again without doiuble quotes) but so far, the reports allways come back with 0 counts for that measure. I know that my RegEx is correct (ran many tests on matching the pattern, which worked just fine). So I wanted to see if people have been able to create custom measures with either Fixed Patterns or Regular Expressions in them that yielded an accurate count. I have opened a case with the help desk guys at Webtrends but so far they seem to be stumped as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
Mitch
I have tried several other options including the use of standard WT tags, like WT.ti, and I attempted to build custom measures based on these standard tags, but to no avail. Nothing is listed in Webtrends bug reports or knowledge base about this issue and I wanted to see if anyone has experienced similar issues with Webtrends 7.1? I can't imagine that we are the first ones running into this problem.

Mitch
