Why take the chance? There are plenty of alternative choices, and Google Analytics isn't even best of breed.

Unfortunately, there is really little you can do about it. It's more likely that this data will be used against you in aggregate than in specific cases. As long as enough people use GA they gain the market knowledge they want.

But, still, why support it?
