I need help identifying an analyzer that will handle the following:
One - Our website is based on ASP Content Management System based. Each template has its own asp. The log shows entrie such as www.mysite.edu/content/contentunit.asp?CID=4&U=2233&t=0.
Or
www.mysite.edu/content/courseUnit.asp?CID=22&U=6233&t=0
For every content page, the numbers of CID and U of course are different.
I would like the analysis reports to show:
"Prospective Students - Undergraduate" which is for example the page title and the number of "hits" and not the long URL and for sure not how many times Content.asp was viewed which is probably 50% of the log entries.
Two - We have some special entry points such as www.mysite.edu/dept. In there we have a default.html that redirects to one of the content pages. The log normally shows three entries - one to www.mysite.edu/dept with code 302, then one with www.mysite.edu/dept/default.html and the something like www.mysite.edu/content/contentunit.asp?CID=43&U=5433&t=0 with OK 200 code. I would like to get a separate report tracking the times a visitor enterd the site through the special sub folder.
So far I was looking at:
Analog - Had to do a lot of work to replace URLS with titles. Also I could not get accurate results for the second issue.
FastStats - I could not find a way to replace URLS with titles and how to track dynamic content.
Webtrends - Based on a converstaion with their support, they do it all. But, we have budget issues (including software cost, high end hardware to buy and maintenance), so this is not a solution for us.
Nihuo log analyzer - freezing from time to time.
Does anyone know of a program that can do that and is reasonably priced?
Thanks for your input
Moshe
Recently, I tried to find an analogous solution. We have found the Sales-and-Stats software. It is live help and analytics software. It supports ONLINE user tracking and allows to contact person in realtime using textchat or VoiceIP.
The manufacturers have several versions of it. Freeware solution is also present.
