Google analytics / tracking 2 profiles on one site

If I put the account script on my page twice, once with each of two different account numbers, will my site data show up on both accounts. I assume it will since each script will call up the site and report the hit to its account number, but I was wondering if this was true before I try it and lose data to one account if this does NOT work properly.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried this.

No you cannot do this. The page tag (GATC) has a sanity check inside it which will not let it execute multiple times.

Best to first create an aggregate report and then split out sub reports by using filters.

If you are trying to share the same reports to someone else account probably you can do it in the profile settings area. From where you can give permission (either restricted or full) to other accounts.

Probably am missing in the purpose of adding two account codes for one site...
