I am seeing a lot of Blocked Refers in my logging system. Is this becoming more and more common? Anyway to get around the blocking?

Any thoughts?

stcrim,

I'm seeing it more also, but not predominant. Its part of the reaction to privacy, as more companies and people install firewalls, they have decided (for some unknown to me reason) to block the HTTP referrer header.

As to getting around it, not by traditional means. I've not tried it myself, but you might be able to get the referrer if you use a web beacon (bug) in your page via Javascript to send the referrer to a tracking script.
