Webtrends usage

Can anyone explain how to use the filters in the webtrends log analysis software.

To be more specific, i need to study the traffic pattern for the three important sections on the home page, the sub directories of these sections also needs to be included, each section has elements such as pdf downloads, banner ads and case studies.

I am trying to figure it with webtrends version 6,but with little success. Can any body help me "HOW TO" . Any help appreciated.
